Our visit to England

Last week, me and 19 other students from our school travelled to the United Kingdom, for a 6 day educational visit, financed by the Czech Ministry of Education, Call No.56. We attended an English course every morning, in a little town called Shoreham, …

located near the vibrant city and cultural hub, that is Brighton and visited renowned landmarks and cities during afternoons (Hastings, London, Hever Castle & Gardens, among other…). We were accommodated in local families in Lancing, which is another small town close to Brighton. It was a very interesting experience to witness first sight the social differences between life in England and in the Czech Republic and while short, the visit gave me (and all the other students, I presume) a great insight into the cultural heritage of the United Kingdom.
